Redmond Jr. Mustangs Football and Cheerleading is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Redmond, Washington, dedicated to providing youth football and cheer opportunities for local athletes. We offer two programs: Flag Football and Cheerleading in the Spring, and Tackle Football and Cheerleading in the Fall. As the official feeder program for Redmond High School, our goal is to provide a positive and enriching experience for every athlete. We emphasize transformational coaching, character development, and building strong relationships with our players and cheerleaders. Our athletes, ranging from 3rd to 8th grade, compete in the Greater Eastside Junior Football Association (GEJFA) and are inspired and supported throughout their athletic journey.

League Structure

The Greater Eastside Junior Football Association (GEJFA) was formed in 1963 to provide contact football in a program that respects the GEJFA philosophy. GEJFA serves youth between the ages of 8 and 14. There are five levels of play, assignment to which is based on an age/weight formula to ensure that players compete against players of like size and age. These levels are Rookie, Cub, Sophomore, Junior Varsity, and Varsity.

There are 14 independent franchised clubs that comprise GEJFA, representing the youth of Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Newcastle, East Renton, Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, North Bend, Fall City, Duvall, Carnation, Bothell, and Kenmore. Clubs have geographical boundaries, which in most cases, are the same or similar to the local high school.

Each club is managed and operated independent of the others and has its own Board of Directors, registration, equipment, and home field. However, as members of GEJFA, clubs are managed in accordance with GEJFA rules. All clubs have representation on the GEJFA Council, thus input in how the larger organization functio
